Dr. Barnhart graduated from University of Iowa where he was a three-year football letterman. He received his medical degree from Tulane University. His internship and orthopaedic residency were completed at LA County–USC Medical Center where he was awarded Outstanding Senior Resident.
He completed an Adult Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship under the tutelage of the renowned joint replacement surgeons, Doctors Augusto Sarmiento and Larry Dorr. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Barnhart has been with San Gabriel Orthopaedic Medical Group since 1981. He subspecializes in Minimal Invasive Surgery(MIS) and total joint replacements of the hip, knee, and shoulder. He also has extensive experience in sports medicine, specializing in arthroscopies of the knee, ankle, shoulder, and elbow. Dr. Barnhart is proficient in all adult reconstructive surgery, including most foot and hand surgeries, and fracture treatment of upper and lower extremities. He practices at Arcadia Methodist, Huntington Memorial Hospital and San Gabriel Valley Medical Center.
John G. Colias, M.D. received his undergraduate degree and his medical degree from Baylor University. He has been licensed to practice since 1970. His internship and residency were completed at LA County-USC Medical Center. He served in the Medical Corp for the U.S. Navy. He has also served as Clinical Professor of Orthopaedics at LAC-USC Medical Center and Chief of Staff for Foothill Presbyterian. Memberships include: USC Society of Graduate Orthopaedic Surgeons and Orthopaedics Overseas.
